How Big is Baby: the size of a sweet pea
Total Weight Gain: i'll get back with you on this one...
Maternity Clothes: nope
Stretch Marks: nope
Sleep: well i no longer feel exhausted at night like a did a couple of weeks ago. but i do have to get up once a night now to use the potty.
Best Moment this Week: we had an initial consult with a doc, and we got to ask a lot of questions, and she gave us a ton of useful info. we also scheduled our 1st official check-up for nov. 5th
Movement: none, but i'm still getting occasional cramps
Food Cravings: i'm really into avocados right now.
Gender: ?
Labor Signs: n/a
Belly Button:
still there ;)
What I miss: wow, i already have an answer for this...i miss not having to use the potty in the middle of the night - so inconvenient! :(
What I'm looking forward to: our 1st appt on nov 5
Weekly Wisdom: i'm just still thankfully that i haven't gotten sick yet
Milestones: none this week

week 6: sweet pea

Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Those little hands and feet - still webbed like paddles - might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as yours!), and blood is starting to circulate.

Total Weight Gain: not sure, but i don't think any yet
Maternity Clothes: nope
Stretch Marks: nope
Sleep: well i've been really exhausted lately, so i've been going to sleep early. but that also means that i start to wake before my alarm clock goes off. also i've been waking up during the night because my bladder is feeling full.
Best Moment this Week: it hasn't happened yet, but tomorrow we have a doc appt
Movement: none, but every once in a while i get tummy cramps
Food Cravings: none, but some things don't appeal to me lately
Gender: ?
Labor Signs: n/a
Belly Button:
still there ;)
What I miss: i still don't feel like anything is going on in there, so i don't miss anything
What I'm looking forward to: feeling like i am preggo
Weekly Wisdom: i should probably stop complaining and be thankful that i'm not puking my guts out

weeks 3-5

weeks 3-4: poppyseed

In week 3, sperm meets egg, and voila: conception! Your little zygote sets off on a six-day trek through your fallopian tubes, dividing and redividing into identical cells as it travels to your uterus.

In week 4, now safe in your womb, the ball of cells (blastocyst) splits in two, becoming the
embryo and the placenta. The amniotic sac and fluid are forming around baby, and will act as a cushion for the next eight months.

week 5: appleseed

Your embryo (looking kind of like a tadpole) is starting to form major organs (heart, kidney, liver, stomach) and systems (nervous, circulatory, digestive). Baby's presence in your uterus triggers production of hCG (the hormone detected by pregnancy tests)... which triggers production of other hormones like estrogen and progesterone... which trigger all those great symptoms you've probably been noticing!

It's official...

we're going to have a baby! if britney spears and kevin federline can raise a child(ren) so can we - lol. ok, seriously, i'm kidding (about the britney/kfed part, not the pregnant part). we found out last week, so of course, i decided to start a blog about it! i would have incorporated it into my other blog, but since we've only told our parents/siblings, we didn't want to spoil the surprise for anyone else reading my other blog. so obviously the focus of this blog is going to be about my pregnancy journey, which will hopefully be rather uneventful.
