the conference

last week was the conference.
it was hard, but not as bad as i thought it would be.
a few people did say things that made me cringe, including 1 "everything happens for a reason" (ugh!)
but for the most part, i got to share my amazing boy with those in attendance, so it was worth it.
thank you to everyone that posted, sent me a message, or thought about us.
i felt the love surrounding me, which, no doubt, got me through the day.

Beautiful family!

I'm glad it wasn't as hard as you expected, though sorry for the crappy comments, I guess we just get used to them.

Such a lovely way to continue to pay tribute to Julius.

Everything happens for a reason, my ass.

Tiffany, what a wonderful, but difficult event that must have been. So proud of you! Love the family picture, too! Your daughter is adorable.

Congratulations on getting through the day and doing such amazing work in honor of sweet Julius. I'm sure he's proudly smiling down on you and the rest of his family. I thought about you and Juju the other day because I was at a restaurant and saw a baby that very much reminded me of your little boy. Of course I never met Julius but I feel like I know him a little bit through your stories about him. I know you'll understand as a fellow BLM, but as I played with the little boy from afar (peekaboo and such from my table), he smiled at me several times and I couldn't help but feel like Juju's spirit (and my Naima's too) were giving me a little bit of sunshine that day through that sweet little one.
